Aung San Suu Kyi has appeared healthy in what Myanmar’s military government says is her first confirmed outside contact in about 2.5 years. The detained former leader was allowed to meet a delegation from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), with photographs released showing her shaking hands and appearing relaxed during the encounter. The government provided few medical details and did not disclose where the meeting took place or what was discussed. The ICRC has not immediately commented.
