At least 30 people were killed and 80 injured when two high-speed trains collided Wednesday morning in Spain’s Toledo province, regional officials said. The crash occurred between the towns of Mora, Orgaz and Urda. One train had stopped when the other struck it, according to initial reports. Castilla-La Mancha spokesperson Esther Padilla confirmed the death toll, warning earlier that it could rise. Regional President Emiliano García-Page said 50 of the injured had moderate to severe injuries. Emergency crews were working at the scene.
