Apple HomeView Won’t Be Available in the EU, Citing Siri AI Restrictions

Apple announced that its HomeView smart home hub will not be sold in the European Union because Siri AI is currently unavailable on iOS in the region. The company said it is “working constructively with the EU in an attempt to find a path forward,” but gave no timeline for availability. HomeView costs $299 in the United States and launches November 13 in selected markets, including the U.K., Australia and Canada. Apple’s announcement comes amid an ongoing dispute with the EU over regulation of its technology.
