4 Indians Killed After Commercial Vessel Attacked Near Odesa Port, Ukraine

Four Indian nationals were killed and one crew member remains in a critical condition after the commercial vessel MV Golden Leo was attacked near Ukraine’s Odesa port while departing on Sunday evening, India’s Ministry of External Affairs said. The Guinea-Bissau-flagged ship had 17 crew members, including five Indians. Ukraine’s navy said three Russian cruise missiles hit the vessel, triggering a fire and prompting an overnight search-and-rescue operation. India condemned attacks on commercial shipping and called for civilian crews to be protected.
