Ukraine Attacked Iranian Vessel in the Caspian Sea, Tehran Says: Sailor Killed

Iran’s Foreign Ministry condemned what it called a Ukrainian attack on an Iranian commercial vessel in the Caspian Sea, saying the incident caused an explosion on board. Tehran said one sailor was killed and another was injured. Iran described the strike as an “act of aggression” and said it would defend its national interests and security. Ukrainian officials said earlier that their forces carried out long-range strikes in the Caspian Sea, including against vessels linked to Iran-linked military cargo and a Russian war effort.
