UK Announces Inaugural National Day for Victims and Survivors of Terrorism

The UK will hold its first National Day for Victims and Survivors of Terrorism on 21 August 2026. The day is intended to honour and remember those affected by terrorism, encourage victims and survivors to use specialist support, educate the public about terrorism’s impacts, and amplify victims’ and survivors’ stories. The government chose 21 August to align with the UN International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism.
