UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported two separate incidents off Yemen on Wednesday, warning vessels to proceed with heightened caution. A tanker’s master said a powerful explosion occurred “in close proximity” to the ship in the Gulf of Aden, with all crew safe and no environmental damage recorded. Earlier that day, UKMTO confirmed another vessel sank after a drone boat attack near Al Mukha. Crews were rescued and no group immediately claimed responsibility.
