Multiple Shooters Reported at Virginia State University; Five People Shot

Virginia State University in Ettrick, Virginia reported that at least five people were shot early Saturday morning near the Quad Annexes and student residence halls. Officers responded around 1:28 a.m. and found five victims with gunshot wounds outside the dorm area. All five were taken to the hospital; one was listed as in critical condition while the others had non-life-threatening injuries. The campus was placed under lockdown for hours and then reopened, as Chesterfield County Police led the investigation with multiple agencies assisting.
