TUAS, SINGAPORE — A major chemical crisis was successfully averted on Friday afternoon, June 12, 2026 after emergency response teams contained a fierce, fast-moving blaze at an industrial warehouse in the Tuas industrial sector. The high-risk incident triggered a massive deployment of firefighting resources due to the volatile nature of the materials stored inside the facility.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) responded to emergency calls at approximately 2:15 PM regarding a fire at a multi-story industrial warehouse facility located within the Tuas manufacturing precinct.
