Canley Heights, Australia—A man died in hospital late Tuesday night after a shooting incident in Sydney’s southwest. Four other men remain hospitalized with serious injuries. Police were alerted when victims began arriving at different medical facilities with multiple gunshot wounds.

The first reports reached police around 8:30 p.m. Two men in their twenties arrived at Liverpool Hospital seeking treatment. One died shortly after arrival. The other man remains under medical care in stable condition.

Ten minutes later, two more men arrived at Fairfield Hospital. Medical staff classified their conditions as critical. A fifth man arrived at Liverpool Hospital around 9:50 p.m. He is currently being treated for his injuries.

Police have established a formal crime scene at a home in Canley Heights. Forensic investigators spent the night collecting evidence from the property. They are attempting to determine if the location was the primary site of the attack.
