Satellite imagery and Ukraine’s Navy statements confirm the destruction of the Russian FSB border patrol ship Izumrud near Novorossiysk, following a Ukrainian drone strike. Ukrainian forces released evidence showing the damaged vessel alongside a pier, citing the attack as part of efforts to reduce Russia’s maritime capability. The Navy said the ship was hit using the Sargan-3000 unmanned maritime system, and reported crew fatalities and injuries. Izumrud was previously associated with the 2018 Kerch Strait incident.
