Romanian Military Destroys Two Gerbera Drones Found Drifting in Black Sea

Romanian military divers destroyed two Gerbera-type drones found drifting in the country’s exclusive economic zone in the Black Sea, Defense Minister Radu Miruta said. The drones were spotted about 90 nautical miles off Constanta near the Neptun Deep offshore gas project by a civilian vessel. A Romanian Coast Guard unit identified the drones and debris, then explosive ordnance disposal teams carried out a controlled detonation to remove the threat. Authorities contacted Ukraine, which confirmed the systems were not theirs.
