Palestinian American Returns to West Bank to Defend His Home as Israeli Settlers Lay Siege

A Palestinian American man returned to the West Bank town of Qusra to help defend his family’s home after Israeli settlers began surrounding it and harassing occupants for days. Local officials and family members said the siege prevented the family from leaving despite shortages of food and water, while settlers threw stones and tried to damage nearby structures. U.S. Ambassador Mike Huckabee condemned the actions as a “horrific act of terror.” Israeli forces evacuated some family members and moved to dismantle outposts nearby.
