Israeli Airstrikes on Southern Lebanon Kill 11 People in Another Test to Truce

Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon killed at least 11 people Saturday, making them the deadliest since a truce between Israel and Hezbollah took effect June 20. Lebanon’s Health Ministry said an attack on a home at the edge of Ansar village killed seven, including three children, and wounded two. A second strike in Deir al-Zahrani killed four and wounded 17. Lebanon’s prime minister said Israel’s strikes undermine stabilization efforts, while Israel said it targeted Hezbollah infrastructure tied to attacks on its soldiers.
