Emergency Response in Hanoi: Two Hospitalized After Fire Breaks Out At Local Residential Complex

Hanoi, Vietnam—A fire broke out at a residential complex early Wednesday morning, leaving two residents with injuries. The blaze started on the fourth floor of the building shortly before 8:00 a.m., sending thick smoke billowing through the hallways.

Emergency services dispatched multiple fire engines and rescue teams to the scene immediately. Firefighters navigated the narrow access roads to reach the building as flames began spreading to adjacent units.

Residents evacuated in a panic as alarms sounded throughout the floors. Some occupants used fire escapes while others waited on balconies for the rescue ladder crews to arrive.

Paramedics treated two individuals on-site for smoke inhalation and minor burns before transporting them to the nearest hospital. Their conditions are currently listed as stable by medical staff.

The fire was brought under control within an hour of the initial dispatch. Firefighters conducted a floor-by-floor search to ensure no one remained trapped inside the smoke-filled corridors.

The residential complex suffered significant water and smoke damage across three separate floors. Building managers are coordinating with authorities to provide temporary lodging for the displaced families.

Police are currently investigating the cause of the fire. Preliminary inspections suggest an electrical short circuit may have started the ignition in one of the private apartments.

Residents are prohibited from re-entering the most severely damaged sections of the complex until safety inspectors complete a full structural audit.
