U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said President Donald Trump will visit India “early next year.” Rubio made the remarks during his visit to New Delhi, where he met with Indian leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Rubio’s trip focused on repairing and strengthening U.S.-India relations amid recent tensions, particularly around trade and tariffs, as well as cooperation on defense and energy. In addition to bilateral discussions, Rubio also engaged with issues tied to broader regional cooperation frameworks involving India and other Indo-Pacific partners.
