The heavy rains, which battered the coastal municipality for several hours, triggered rapid runoff that quickly overwhelmed localized drainage networks and inundated low-lying sectors of Barangay Colube.

Residents of Barangay Colube reported that water levels began rising rapidly late Wednesday afternoon following consecutive hours of torrential rain. The deluge quickly breached the doorsteps of multiple residential homes, forcing families to move electronics, furniture, and livestock to higher ground or neighboring structures.
